Dishonored Wiki
Dishonored Wiki

There is a large number of characters in the Dishonored franchise that have very few mentions in-game, and so have been left out from the Wiki proper. This blog post is an attempt to collect all such characters, grouping them in a single blog post to save the hassle of creating different pages for each of. Currently, this covers only characters mentioned in Dishonored 2. Note that the character entries are styled as their own wiki pages, so repeated links are to be expected.

Characters will appear when they are first mentioned, future appearances will be mentioned in the same page as their first mention. For example, if a character appears first in mission x and then in mission y, the character's biography will be in mission x's page with a mention of their appearance in mission y.

Multi-Game Characters[]

Barnoli Mulani[]

Void D2

"The realm where nothing makes sense"

Barnoli is an unseen character and author of the treatise Whispers from the Void, which is separated in 4 excerpts: (1), (2), (3) and (4), mentioned in Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.

Although not much is known about him personally, he is not a religious man, but still respects the continued moral guidance of the Abbey.

In his treatise, he focuses on the existence of the Void, as well as it's interactions with the world and humanity, be it in the from those who have accessed it, albeit briefly, to the Abbey of the Everyman and it's objective to combat the effects of the Void. In the excerpts of his treatise, he concludes that the Void is a tangible place, that can be explored, understood and conquered, without going onto the path of witchcraft. In another excerpt, he suggests that the Abbey should be one to explore and understand such place, even if to create better ways to combat it. In the last known excerpt, he proposes that experiments involving the Void should utilized criminals, citing that "they might be of use at their moment of death as they never where in their life".

During the events of Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Corvo/Emily and Billie Lurk can find the aforementioned book, and it's excerpts, on many places throughout the missions, though the third and fourth excerpt only appear in Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Besides that, he has no other mentions.

A Long Day in Dunwall[]

Advisor Wainwright[]

Citywatchofficers

Launching the ISS Jessamine Kaldwin

Advisor Wainwright is an unseen character and advisor for the Empress mentioned in Dishonored 2.

Before the events of the game, they sent the protocols for the launching of the ISS Jessamine Kaldwin. The note also had suggestions for the speech Emily would make during the event.

Trivia[]

Beesley[]

D2 Dunwall Streets Dead Guards

"I have men across the City Watch, and let's just say certain stubborn Emily Kaldwin supporters are being arrested even as I pen this note"

Beesley is an unseen character and, possibly, accomplice in Delilah's Coup mentioned in Dishonored 2.

Before the events of the game, Mortimer Ramsey wrote a note to Beesley. In that note, Ramsey reassured Beesley about the upcoming Coup, as they have begun to doubt about their participation in the event, and notes that the Duke of Serkonos will properly compensate both, if Delilah is successfully crowned. Following those statements, Ramsey threatens that he has command over many of the Guards in the City Watch, and saying that members still loyal to Emily Kaldwin are being detained, while also telling that Luca Abele will bring over one hundred members of the Grand Guard along with him to Dunwall. Ramsey finalizes his note telling Beesley to "do your part!", while also advising them to shred said note as soon as they've read it.

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can find the aforementioned note inside the dumpster below the stairs of the alley entrance to the Boyle Industries office during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, they have no other mentions.

Trivia[]
  • Although not directly stated, it is likely that Beesley is not a member of the City Watch and that they may be someone closer to Ramsey, or at least someone of an position that he considers desirable. The evidence to that is to compare Ramsey's note to Beesley with other notes Ramsey wrote to members of the City Watch regarding participation in Delilah's Coup: Stay Ready and Order to Clear the Docks. In both of those notes, Ramsey presents a clear disfavor towards the recipients, with outright threatening both mentioned if they fail or decide to stop participating in the Coup.
    • Another instance that supports this is his dialogue when dragging Corvo to Emily's Chambers at the beginning of the game, he considers being in the City Watch "one step above begging", reinforcing the supposition above.
  • Due to the location of the note mentioning Beesley, it is likely that they work, or even live, near that area, as the alley connects Kaldwin Boulevard to a fish market nearby.

Butler[]

Ramsey

"If the girl had not ignored me at Butler's Change of Command ceremony."

Butler is an unseen character and, possibly, an ex-member of the Empire's military or Guard mentioned in Dishonored 2.

Before the events of the game, they held a Change of Command ceremony to his position. The only confirmed people to be present in this ceremony were Emily Kaldwin and Mortimer Ramsey. Ramsey made complaints to Emily during this ceremony, but she promptly ignored him. It is unknown if the ceremony also included retirement from their position.

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can hear about them in the rant Mortimer Ramsey makes if let to enter the Imperial Safe Room during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, they have no other mentions.

Trivia[]
  • According to Ramsey's dialogue, Emily's ignorance to his complaints were one of the factors listed for his betrayal and participation in Delilah's Coup.

Corporal Moore[]

Corporal Moore Mention

"Corporal Moore checked the Royal Quarters and Emily Kaldwin/Corvo Attano has apparently fled the Tower."

Corporal Moore is an unseen character and member of the Empire's Guard mentioned in Dishonored 2.

Although their only mention happens after the events of the game have begun, Corporal Moore holds the "Corporal" rank in the Empire's Guard. They are also the one to check the Royal Quarters and discover Mortimer Ramsey's disappearance, or corpse, should the protagonist kill him, as well as Emily's/Corvo's escape from their imprisonment in Dunwall Tower.

During the events of Dishonored 2, they are mentioned by a guard when the protagonist reaches the streets where Dr. Galvani's Office is located during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, they have no other mentions.

Trivia[]
  • Due to members from both the City Watch and Grand Guard participating in Delilah's Coup, as well as both organizations having the "Corporal" position in their ranks, it is unknown which of the two Corporal Moore is a part of.

Before the events of the game, he sent the a letter to the Empress requesting for a meeting that would discuss possible remedies to ameliorate the loss of cargo and personnel of the ships travelling from Serkonos to Tyvia. It is also implied on the letter that this is not the first request for a meeting and that Emily's staff have "resisted" his efforts to set upon a date for the negotiation. Another note reveals that a meeting was successfully scheduled, but it is unknown if Demyan himself would participate.

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can find the aforementioned letter on a small table in Emily's office during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, he has no other mentions.

"I'm not questioning your sources or your writing, but some moonstruck natural philosopher making marionettes in his basement isn't really news."

Kent is an unseen character and writer for the Dunwall Courier mentioned in Dishonored 2

Before the events of the game, Kent wrote an article, that cannot be found in the game, about the Clockwork Soldiers, as well as about their inventor, Kirin Jindosh, that were being created in Karnaca. Kent then submitted the article to the Simon, the Chief Editor of the Dunwall Courier.

Simon, after reading Kent's article and doing some research about Kirin Jindosh, wrote a note to him detailing that his article wouldn't be published and that, although Simon didn't question Kent's sources or writing, "some moonstruck natural philosopher making marionettes in his basement" wasn't the news the Dunwall Courier were interested in publishing. Simon followed that with saying that Jindosh was driven out of the The Academy of Natural Philosophy, making him a "hardly a credible threat", he then finished the second paragraph saying that Kent's story wouldn't published until one of those mechanical soldiers actually killed someone. Simon finishes his note saying that Kent should focus on the Crown Killer case instead, while also saying that, if the Imperial family of Dunwall were the ones committing those murders, he wanted the Dunwall Courier to be the one who exposes them.

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can find the aforementioned note located on the right desk of the cubicle opposite to the storage room on the third floor of the Dunwall Courier offices during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, he has no other mentions.

"Things are about to get bad, and I'm not just talking about the Crown Killer."

Kiella is an unseen character and resident of an apartment in Kaldwin Boulevard mentioned in Dishonored 2

Although he did not make any proper appearance in the game, he is mentioned by his wife in an audiograph located inside his apartment. In that audiograph, his wife details that she and their children traveled to Karnaca earlier than expected, leaving Kiella behind. She also warns that things in Dunwall are going to get worse and that there is another threat, other than the Crown Killer, that is coming to the city. Lastly, she explains that there is profit to be made in Karnaca's silver mines and that arrangements must be made.

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can find the aforementioned audiograph in the apartment across the street from Dr. Galvani's office during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, he has no other mentions.

Trivia[]
  • Although the other threat coming to Dunwall is left as a mystery, there is reason to suspect that Kiella's wife is talking about the upcoming coup Delilah will make on the anniversary of Empress Jessamine's death.

Laura, Lady Brambly and Nathan Bettenbridge[]

Empire of the Isles-Background2

"By early next month, look for these works plastered on the walls here in the Capital City, but if you're abroad you'll see them in Dabokva, Alba, Karnaca, Caulkenny and Yaro as well."

Laura, Lady Brambly and Nathan Battenbridge are unseen characters and members of Ichabod Boyle's campaign to further turn public opinion against Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano mentioned in Dishonored 2.

Although these are 3 different characters, they are all mentioned in Ichabod Boyle's letter to Laura. In that letter, Ichabod tells Laura to not tell him how to conduct his smear campaign, as his family has "been at this game for a long time" and that he is not acting alone. He then explains that he has several compatriots helping him make pamphlets to further turn public opinion against Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano, while also saying that he is giving consideration to title his as "Should Parliament Rule? A Modest Proposal". Following that, he says that, although Emily is still the Empress, she will eventually "bow under the weight that we will bring down upon her", noting that he will gain support first through the Aristocrats in Dunwall, then the Parliament to finally the other Isles. He finalizes his letter saying to expect the aforementioned pamphlets spread all over the Isles, as well as threatening Laura about how he "has friends all over" and to not let that information "slip your mind for a second".

The only mentions of Lady Brambly and Nathan Bettenbridge are that they are helping Ichabod Boyle with his pamphlets, with Lady Brambly titling hers as "Bastard Daughter", which Ichabod notes that it will "light them up at court", and Nathan titling his as "Prosecution for Corvo Attano".

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can find the aforementioned letter located on the desk close to the indoor stairs on the second floor of the Boyle Industries office during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, they have no other mentions.

Leonora is an unseen character and advisor for the Empress mentioned in Dishonored 2.

Before the events of the game, she sent a letter to the Empress discussing about the Crown Killer and heavily implying that Emily has connections to the former. She supports this suspicion with noting that only people who have openly opposed the Empress have been the victims. Despite the accusatory nature of the letter, it appears that Leonora only wants to confirm her suspicion, saying to not leave her "out in the cold".

In that statement, he tells that, just before midnight, he was going home after drinking at a nearby pub. On his way, he stopped at the Boyle Company Offices to relieve himself, that's when he heard commotion inside the offices. Thinking that, in his words, "some people were having fun", he went to a nearby window to take a look inside. As he got closer, he heard Ichabod scream loudly, and saw that he was tied up, with a hooded person nearby, who Peter swears they were eating Ichabod Boyle's intestines. Peter assumed that was the Crown Killer, and so ran fast to the nearest City Watch outpost. In the last paragraph of the Witness Statement, Peter complains that Ichabod Boyle could have been saved, if the Watch Guards weren't fining him for throwing up after seeing the murder.

During the events of Dishonored 2, the protagonist can find the aforementioned statement located on a box next to the camera pointing at the body of Ichabod Boyle inside the ground floor of the Boyle Industries office during the mission A Long Day in Dunwall. Besides that, he has no other mentions.

Trivia[]
  • Due to the location of the Boyle Trading Company, the pub Peter had drinks in could possibly be the Black Pony Club, as it is very close to the offices.
