- Flushing toilet: after 15 years since Dishonored, flushing toilets have finally been invented. You can see them in Dunwall Tower and the old chamber pots are put away in the storage area, behind Emily's secret room. Only aristocrats and rich people can seem to afford these though, as chamber pots can still be found in middle-class and working class apartments.
- In this book, Callista wrote to Emily that Sokolov invented the modern steam-powered Whaling Trawler. In this scene in The Tales from Dunwall, a young Sokolov proposed the new whaling trawler design to Esmond Roseburrow.
- Dr. Galvani, who can be robbed twice in Dishonored, moved to an apartment close to Dunwall Tower, an area with better security, in order to avoid being robbed again. He can be robbed in this mission.
- In the Boyle Industries building, there is a coin collection that consists of coins with the profiles of Jessamine Kaldwin, Emily Kaldwin, Hiram Burrows, and Luca Abele.
- In the boarded up apartment that has been left untouched since the Rat Plague, you can find Hiram Burrows coins, and a 1836 calendar (1 year prior to Dishonored).
- Similar to how many devices have different versions in Dunwall and Karnaca, the shapes of the coins are different as well. Gristol coins are heptagons while Serkonos coins have 12 sides. And even though Emily and Jessamine coins are created in Dishonored 2, they are still heptagons, thus creating an in-world distinction between Gristol and Serkonos currencies.
- Fun fact: Arkane gives commemorative coins to each developer who participated in the development of their games. Dishonored and Dishonored 2 coins also have 7 and 12 sides respectively.
- Emily's escape from Dunwall Tower was witnessed by Daud. In the novel Dishonored: The Return of Daud, he was across Wrenhaven river, and through his spyglass saw Emily jump across rooftops, jump into water, and climb aboard a ship named "Dreadful- something".
- Advisor Wainwright, the author of the note Ship Launch Protocol, is possibly the father of Archibald Wainwright [Credit: Pauolo]. We know that by the time of the comic Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price, Archibald's father passed away and left him the parliament seat. It's highly possible that lord Wainwright is murdered during the coup.
