Details You Might Have Missed in The Clockwork Mansion

• Talking to Meagan at the beginning of the mission reveals that:
  • Locals often go to Jindosh's mansion to test their courage or because they are desperate for a meal. Some say that they can be heard at night, banging at the windows, calling for help.
  • Jindosh entered a clockwork soldier into the Blade Verbena and beat everyone. Corvo won this competition when he was 16.

• There are a few interesting details in Breanna Ashworth's letter to Bonville:
  • Delilah and her circle tried to track down all guards present at the night when Delilah returned, and silence them. They paid Bonville to do the job.
  • Ashworth poisoned Bonville to tie up the loose end.
  • The guard in the letter mentioned seeing an exotic hooded figure during that night. This could be the Crown Killer. At first I thought it could be Corvo but at this point he has not returned to the past yet, and if you play as Emily, it's still a "hooded figure" even though she doesn't wear a hood.
• Correy Brockburn and Janice Tines, two members of the Regenters mentioned in this meeting note, are actually victims of the Crown Killer. They can be seen in the very first intro of the game. [Credit: AnnCrane]

• The pair of thieves said 3 whale oil tanks are needed to blow up the black market's wall but you can also use a grenade instead. I also heard a rumor that if you take out all the loose bricks, you can break down the wall with just the two oil tanks but so far I have not been able to reproduce this.

• If you killed Mindy in Edge of The World, her wanted posters in this mission and onward will be crossed out with a red X.
• If Jindosh detected you, he will start monitoring and commenting on almost everything you do, including destroying clockwork solders, reaching certain areas, use explosives, use supernatural abilities, etc. The comment also based in whether he has found out who you are or not. • Jindosh has two prosthetic fingers which double as a pipe. His two actual fingers, which were lost in an accident, can be found in the a secret room accessible from his bedroom/silvergraph room/bathroom.

• Jindosh shoots Explosive Bullets.
• When mesmerized, he will utter the following lines:
  • "So Cold. Perhaps it possesses none of the usual energies of the cosmos. Or maybe the most fundemental."
  • "What is this?! Marvelous. It has the sheen of something ancient, beyond time. Like something that should not exist."
  • "I find myself losing track of the days thoughts. Unlike me. Whatever this thing is, it's much more interesting than my work. I can hardly believe it."
  • "How curious, this is more than an object. It's a process, that picks at very old scabs. Hated by my own mother. Raised by my bastard brother. Banned for life from the Academy."
• According to the Heart, when he was a kid, he dissected a cat just to see how it "work", something greatly distressed his mother.

• The mansion is powered by hydropower coming from the waterfall upon which it was built. If you go down to the lowest level, under the atrium, you can see water running through two turbines. Interestingly, in Dishonored, Sokolov's safehouse was also powered by a giant watermill.

• If you use Windblast on clockwork soldiers, they will stab their blade-arms into the ground and remain in place.
• They can also deflect projectiles with their blades.
• Jindosh recorded a specific line for his clockwork soldiers in case they detect his own dead body: "This is quite amusing to record. This playback should trigger in case the machine detects my own lifeless body." He thought this is amusing probably because he didn't expect he would die.
• If you didn't take the railcar all the way to the Clockwork Mansion, when you leave, you will find the railcar parked outside along with a man. This is because Hadros, the nobleman found inside the mansion, instructed this man, his servant, to bring the railcar here.
• A note in the elevator says that Jindosh only sleeps for 4 hours a day. This is a reference to Nikola Tesla's - a real-like genius inventor - strange sleeping habit: he claimed to only sleep a couple of hours a day. [Credit: u/ DravenPrime]
