- Across the game, there are multiple bridges that have been destroyed with only the piers remained. Most people would think that this was due to neglect and decay caused by the rat plague, but at that point, the plague has been going on for only 2 years. That's simply not enough time for the complete destruction of almost all the bridges across the Wrenhaven. Plus there is no debris of the fallen piers either. A more probable explanation is all the old stone bridges were destroyed to allow passage for the new whaling trawlers. Kaldwin's Bridge is the only bridge left, which can be raised to let ships pass through, and was likely designed with this specific feature. [Credit: Khazzadumm, Pauolo]

- Dunwall is ravaged by the Rat Plague and most buildings in the city are abandoned. If you look at the city from across the river, you can see that lightings only come from a few buildings, mostly the white ones belonging to the wealthy. Industrial buildings and poor/middle-class tenements all went dark.
- In certain missions, if you jump into the water near Samuel, he'll say "Isn't it a bit cold for a bath?" or "Corvo, are you ok? Mind the hagfishes".

- The plaques under the mounted Blood Oxen heads say "DamDamus". This is likely a placeholder the devs forgot to change. In Dishonored 2 the plaques have been changed to "Gristolian Bloodox".

- The advertisements for Preston Club use day of the week (Saturday) and month (December) of the Gregorian calendar. This is likely a developer oversight since the world of Dishonored uses a different Calendar system. [Credit: Unrulyruby100]
- When you slash at a wall of light, your sword will be zapped but otherwise remains intact.

- According to Harvey Smith, River Krusts originated from Pandyssia and were brought to Dunwall by ships returning from the Far continent. They prefer cold climate and that's why none was seen in Karnaca.
- While Corvo is possessing a rat, he can startle some people but might also be stomped on and die.

- Not much is known about the Empire's mythology and folklore, but it seems dragon-like creatures are a part of it. There are two murals, one above Dunwall tower gate (require out-of-bound access to see) and one above the wall of light in the House of Pleasure mission, depicting a wingless dragon breathing fire. - Interestingly, a civillian in the mission High Overseer Campbell asked if the Outsider is a "winged serpent", to which Overseer Sturgess said that there are sightings of great winged creatures in Pandyssia, but there is no connection between them and the Outsider.
- Speaking of mythological creatures:

- In Dishonored, pocket watches have the Illuminati symbol on them. In Dishonored 2, the same type of watch doesn't have this symbol [Credit: u/killin_commies]. This is likely an easter egg.

- With the right lighting and angle, the phrase "Shut up!!" can be seen scribbled on the loudspeakers. [Credit: u/FaithThePlagueDoc]
