Theodanis Abele is a character mentioned in Dishonored 2, he is the orginal Duke of Serkonos.[2] described as 'old and benevolant'. He is the father of Luca Abele the present Duke of Serkonos whom is a direct contrast form his father’s honourable rule as opposed to Luca dishonourable one.

Biography

Theodanis was born in Serkonos in 1775, however very little is known regarding that of his early life, other than he most presumably developed an interest in politics and by 1837, Theodanis became elected as the Duke of Serkonos.

Throughout his reign, he managed to unite both the Eastern and West isles of the Empire together, and thus led the citizens of Serkonos into just and Prosperous age. During this period, He also befriended the Mine Baron, Aramis Stilton whom oversaw the actives of the Batista Mining District, and soon became one of his most trusted allies as well as a personal close friend.

Outside of his governance duties, Theodanis later married a Duchess named Callas where together they had two children named Luca and later Radanis. Over time however, he received several letter’s from Luca’s school regarding several incidents upon where Theodanis became increasingly concerned over his eldest son’s violent behaviour.[3] His son Radanis was later killed by a street urchin during a visit in Dunwall, after the former had previously attacked a pair of street girls.[4] [5]

In 1816, he became highly impressed by the Grand Guard officer, Corvo Attano's talents, he awarded him a medal, and by the 28th Day of the Month of Rain, Theodanis sent Corvo to Dunwall in order to serve Emperor Euhorn Kaldwin, as a ‘political gift’.

He passed away in 1847 and thus a statue was commemorated in the Batista Mining District in honour of his memory. [6]
