Jack.
Jack is a minor character who worked at the Rothwild Slaughterhouse. He appears in the Dishonored DLC, The Knife of Dunwall during the first mission, A Captain of Industry.
Biography[]
Jack was employed by Bundry Rothwild during the time when Abigail Ames attempted to form a workers' strike at the Rothwild Slaughterhouse. He was one of the common laborers tasked with maintenance of the machinery at the facility.
Despite Rothwild's concern of Jack getting in good with the local Watch,[1] there is never any evidence to support this, but he was trusted enough by the City Watch Officers to be allowed to change the combination of their safe.
Earlier, Bundry Rothwild made an appointment with Jack, as well as with several other laborers, to obtain workers' signatures to renounce the strike. Those who did not comply were set upon by Rothwild's Butchers. It is unknown why Jack missed his appointment, but despite warnings from Rothwild himself[1] as well as efforts by the local Watch Officers to find him,[2] Jack met a terrible end.
The Knife of Dunwall[]
If Daud did not purchase the safe code favor, Jack's partially eaten body can be found at the Rothwild Slaughterhouse yard, floating underneath a large boat near some hagfish. While it is never proven who actually killed him, there are two Butchers patrolling the area near him, suggesting they had a hand in it.
Trivia[]
- A pouch can be found on the riverbed below his body that contains a note. Upon the note is the safe combination.
- Like Jack's body and the two notes mentioning him, this will only appear if Daud did not previously buy the safe code favor.
