Stun Mine

The stun mine is a gadget that Daud can acquire in The Knife of Dunwall and in The Brigmore Witches DLC, and that Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin can acquire in Dishonored 2. Invented by Anton Sokolov,[1] these mines can either be purchased or found around the isles.

Function

Stun Mine icon

The intended use for the stun mine is for non-lethal traps and takedowns. The stun mine acts in a very similar manner to the arc mine. The difference between the arc mine and the stun mine is the severity of the bolt of electricity expelled; the stun mine delivers enough electricity to instantly render those in its proximity unconscious, rather than turning them into ash, like the arc mine. In 1837, stun mines contain two charges and can be upgraded with a third. By 1852, stun mines only contain a single charge, but can again be upgraded to three, as well as to affect a group of people.

Upgrades

Different upgrades are available for the stun mine in the DLC and Dishonored 2.

  • If armed stun mines are damaged before their charge is spent, they will turn red and then explode.
  • Stun mines target enemies, allies, and neutral characters alike.
  • In The Knife of Dunwall, stun mines cannot be found in the first mission, only the second and third missions.
