As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, Corvo Attano possesses the supernatural ability to turn his enemies to ash when he kills them, eliminating the need to hide bodies, dubbed Shadow Kill.
Ability tiers
Tier one
Tier one Shadow Kill requires two runes, and once unlocked, Corvo can turn enemies that are unaware of him into ash whenever he kills them.
Tier two
With tier two Shadow Kill, Corvo can turn all enemies into ash when he kills them, regardless of whether they are aware of his presence or not. This upgrade is essential for a stealthy high chaos run as the player has no need to hide the bodies that eventually pile up.
Trivia
Oddly even though the rat plague is, partially, spread through dead bodies this power is considered high chaos so more rats and weepersappear.
