Hi! My name is Moviesign, and I’m the Fandom Wiki Manager for Dishonored Wiki. I am here to help the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. As you and I seem to be the only two admin currently active on this site, I would like to ask your opinion concerning a recent situation.
It seems that several articles, mostly supernatural powers and character types have begun to receive overly long sections dedicated to dialogue sections. I do not see why such huge swaths of the pages need to have these and am thinking about removing (or at least significantly reducing) them from the pages.
I've seen other sites where they do this and the pages become a mess, especially when trying to figure out which batch of dialogue and quotes belong in which section as has happened here or when dialogue is misquoted and has to be corrected or edited again such as here. Such overly obsessive additions to the articles don't seem to serve a purpose, as the goals of these pages isn't to provide a word-for-word script of the entire game.
As a response, I was thinking of a few options:
either removing the quotes altogether
limiting quotes to one or two examples for each type, such as perhaps two for attacking, noticing an enemy or body, etc
I'll just quote myself from an answer I gave to the same question pretty much exactly a year ago:

A collection page like that canon page would be better suited for a blog post. I gave the creator of the canon page the opportunity to save the information and make such a blog post instead before I deleted the page, but so far he didn't. Feel free to contact the original creator to ask if he'd be willing to create a blog post or provide you with the information you are seeking.
I think some areas could be updated on the Main Page so that it reflects the whole series. Some info hasn't been updated when D2 was released.
"The wiki about Dishonored, a game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks." It should be rephrased to refer to Dishonored as a series, not a single game.
Also, the "About Dishonored" section also refers to the first game only. It should also be rewritten as "About the Dishonored series".
In the "Overview" section, there should be a mix of all games in the sections Characters (Add Delilah and Billie, maybe remove Jessamine), Missions (Add some from the Daud DLCs, D2 and DOTO) and Weapons (the Twin-bladed Knife, the Voltaic Gun...).
What do you think? I'll get the cigars tomorrow. Wanna buy one?
the "About Dishonored" section actually DOES talk about the franchise, not just the first game.
The overview sections all have links to the general categories in their respective headers and under "More..." , there is a whole section dedicated to the different games of the franchise and another for the DLC, there is a section in that slider at the top of the page for each game and the DLC too. I think we have sufficient hints on the main page that Dishonored is a franchise by now.
I replaced a few of the characters since I believe that Emily and Billie are more significant to the series nowadays than Jessamine or Burrows, but I don't feel like we need a mix in the sections for "representation". One can overdo things.
Sorry about the About section, I must have misread. As for the few edits you made, I guess that'll do, I was just making a few suggestions after all. But I still think it would make more sense to have "The wiki about the Dishonored series"; that wouldn't be overdoing it. Again, mere suggestions. Thanks for your time!
You got a point there with the introduction at the top of the page, I simply missed out on that when editing the page. It has been fixed by now. My "overdoing" comment was merely aimed at the mixed sections.
The Timeline one appeared to worded almost like speculation. I mean it's not, but I just didn't seem content with it. If it is okay with you then that's fine. :)
As for the Silvergraph one, I didn't know if we could/should inocrporate the date more into the description or leave it merely as a footnote in trivia. Since we don't have an actual date of the device's invention I though it best to leave the info in trivia for the time being. :)
But dishonored is a dark and disturbing game, don't you think it's doing the developers a disservice to ignore aspects of it you personality find offensive? Of course as you're an admin I'll still comply with your wishes, and try not to upload creepy pics.
Not Piko, but in my opinion there is a difference in an alluding to a facet of the game, and then full-on shoving it in a reader's face.
For example, we know that when involved in sword combat, it is possible to dismember opponents in various and sundry ways. However, we don't go and chop up a bunch of individuals within the game and they lay out the damaged corpses like some grim jigsaw puzzle to show this in a pic with the torso in the middle and the four limbs and head adjacent to it. Nor do we behead a bunch of people and then stack their heads in some odd macabre pillar for display even though such can be done within the context of playing the game.
Do we have pics with sundered and rent individuals within the pic library of the wiki? Yes. We do not, however, focus primarily on just those details but rather how they present the game universe as a whole.
Sorry if I came across a bit rude before, and I know I've been a bit of a pain on this wiki. My intentions were only ever to help catalogue aspects of the game I assumed were overlooked , also there's the issue of oversaturating the galleries with redunctant images. Thanks for sticking with me!
For an actual reference, you'd need to put on pics with the names of the apples actually showing, because otherwise that could be just any apple and does not prove anything. However, since this is an in-game fact anyone who wants proof can look for themselves in the game, we don't need 5 pics of apples for that.
No, the HUD should be turned off as per the rules of our MoS, and the food items show clearly what they are... wether the apple on the pic is a Morley or Gristol one (or which of the various alcohol brands is in the bottle etc.) does not matter. They are to give an example of what food items can be found, we don't need a pic of every single different alcohol bottle. I only mentioned the HUD in this special case because that would be needed to prove anything with the pics concerning your trivia point. It is not necessary though because the info is easily accessible and confirmable for anyone who's interested by playing the game.
For the Rule of the Isles page, I think Restoration is the correct term. Restauration is the french term and I guess it depends, but I think the English version prevails in this case? (eg, Restoration of the Stuart Monarches etc.) Happy to be corrected of course.
