Janice Tines is a minor character from Dishonored 2. She was an Opinions Editor at the Karnaca Gazette as well as a member of the Regenters. She became the second victim of the Crown Killer and was murdered in 1852.
Biography[]
Janice Tines, along with Ichabod Boyle and several others opposed Emily Kaldwin's rule over the Empire of the Isles. She was also an acquaintance of Correy Brockburn and published a scathing editorial about Emily, even calling her "an Empress in name only". She idolized Hiram Burrows, the previous Royal Spymaster. In 1851, in the Month of Timber, Janice was informed by Correy that he changed the code and told her that she will find the combination in the usual place in the office. Before going on his trip he warned Janice to be careful, he told her that he felt he was being watched and followed, he told her about an incident when he heard heavy breathing from somewhere nearby in the dark when he was closing his office in the night. He told Janice it was not the grand guard. Correy told Janice that he will be going on a trip to Cullero and told Janice to postponed their next gathering as to warn the others. A week later she was found dead in her office.
Dishonored 2[]
By the time of the opening events, Emily Kaldwin has been blamed for the murder of Janice Tines, as well as several others who opposed her rule. Many believed that Emily and her father, Corvo Attano, are the Crown Killer.
