Howling bolts are a type of crossbow ammunition available in Dishonored 2. They can be found around Karnaca, or purchased from black market shops.
When howling bolts hit an enemy, the enemy is temporarily blinded. Howling bolts are also useful when shot at surfaces, as they make sounds that attract or distract enemies.
Howling bolts have two Masterwork upgrades: Ancient Howl, which causes witches to flee, and Deep Howl, which causes wolfhounds to flee.
