Callista Curnow is a Loyalist and caretaker to Emily Kaldwin. Her uncle is Geoff Curnow, a Captain of the City Watch.

Callista is first seen at the Hound Pits, where she resides after aligning herself with the Loyalist Conspiracy. When Corvo Attano is asked to murder Thaddeus Campbell, Callista asks him to foil a plot to kill her uncle in the process.

After the House of Pleasure mission (in which Corvo rescues the kidnapped heiress to the throne, Lady Emily Kaldwin) Callista becomes Emily's caretaker, schooling her and ensuring she uses proper etiquette. She resides with Lady Emily in the tower at the Hound Pits.

Trivia

  • Callista is voiced by Lena Headey.
  • Piero Joplin often spies on Callista in the bath, and can be confronted about this after Anton Sokolov's kidnapping.
  • If Corvo enters the bathroom after catching Piero peeking, a conversation will commence where he can either offer an apology for his "accidental" entry or make a sexual advance. If Corvo does make an advance, Callista will reject him. If Corvo jumps in the bath anyway, the game show "Loyalist Conspiracy disbanded" on an overlay on the screen, citing "irreconcilable hostilities".
    • The game doesn't actually use a nude model for Callista when she is bathing. Instead, it uses an "underwear" model where she's wearing a corset. The outlines of her corset can be seen by using Darkvision, and the whole model can be seen by using possession on her then exiting. However, this method will eventually cause the game to end for the reasons aforementioned.
  • When the Heart is used on her, it reveals that Callista wishes to be a whaler, but cannot due to her gender.
  • Depending on a player's choices, Callista will comment on Lady Emily's status. If the player has a high chaos rating, she'll note Emily's noticeably more aggressive behavior.
  • In the mission the Loyalists, the key to Emily's room has to be collected from her corpse if Corvo is in high chaos. Otherwise, in the low chaos instance, she will be alive to open the door to Emily's room. According to her, Havelock spares her because he "owed [her] uncle something."
  • If Corvo incapacitates Geoff but does not take the Captain to the designated safe place, Callista will behave as if he has been killed. (It can be presumed that other Overseers finish him off in Campbell's absence.)
  • If Geoff is alive, he and Callista will make an appearance in the low chaos ending together.
