this blog is dedicated to the removed content of the main game, as the name says - even of the Downloadable ContentDLCs, if there are any unused contents as well. User:Pauolo has suggested to create a page for it, but we need to get the ideas about what and how to write in order to structure and fill the future page, what to add, if we need references, concrete hints and so on.
We have, for example, unused materials from the game files such as missions and unused books, but we also know of "exclusive" content that was supposed to be in the final version of the game, like the Parliament and the Asylum levels. If there are other contents, we can add them here.

I'm busy creating a map of Dunwall and I need some help. One problem for example is the small river serpentine, which flows through the estate district. I can't really figure out where it should join with the Wrenhaven. I also plan on pointing out locations on the map which are not included in the game levels itself, the Gristol parliament and the Academy of Natural Philosophy for example. But I don't know where they are situated.
And if anyone got newly thought of locations in their fanfiction which could function as a kind of Dunwall tourist attractions I would be happy to include those too.
Here i've got the map which points out some of the levels. the estate district is more or less on the right place, but could be rotated. I've …Read more >
Hello to everyone!
I'm writing this new blog to discuss about Dishonored videos, mostly gameplays, guides and - why not - funny videos made for fun. Also, because there are some deleted videos posted on the Wiki, I was minding to discuss of creating a YT channel for the Wikis where to put gameplays and guides, just to see if you agree with it. Said this, tell me your opinion. :)
If you like making some Dishonored videos and want to share to everyone, this place can also be useful for that. :)Read more >
Hello, people of Dishonored Wiki.
I know that some of you are capable of extracting bits and pieces from the game, such as .gifs and .oggs. I've searched all over the internet for the complete theme that is present in the background while in the Void, the song of the suffering whale in conjunction with the instrumental theme. As corny as it sounds, it just resonates with me on a deeply personal level, truly. I've had no luck at all in finding the background soundtrack, however, and was hoping that maybe one of you "extractors" could somehow record the theme present while in the Void and upload it somewhere for me to download and listen to. I'm not tech savvy at all, so it's nothing I can feasibly do myself.
I can't really access the theme on…Read more >
So, I was looking at what features we have here at the wiki and saw that we could make an interactive map! I started one for Dunwall, but I've only added a few locations so far. I just thought it would be a nice little thing to add to the front page.
If you all feel like adding to it, please go ahead.

So... killing every person in the game, (with a couple exceptions,) doesent seem like a hard thing... right?
But, I challenge you to kill every single human/weeper/wolfhound/and riverkrust excluding rats, in the game. seems just a tad bit hard right? Now is for the actual catch.
I challenge the people of the Dishonored Wiki comunity to kill everyone, including weepers, civilians, wolfhounds and riverkrusts...
AND, get ghost rating. that means hiding all bodies from sight of guards so they dont find them and ring an alarm, and no getting seen...
Lets start with the exceptions!
Exception #1 : in the coldrige prison mission, after you blow up the front door, you do not have to kill the infinite spawning guards, or the guards on the wall near th…

I like our fancy custom badges but when looking up wikia stuff I realized that they could be customized further, and since I have photoshop and far too much time on my hands I decided to see what they'd look like in a slightly different style.
This is just what came to mind while I was reading about it and I'd like to hear peoples' opinions on it. Am I completely off track or is there any merit to the idea of changing the badges? And if so, is this a good style or do you think they should be different altogether?

For some time now, I have felt that our category structure is somewhat lacking in certain aspects. In this blog post I'm going to address the most prominent issue: Category:Dishonored has many categories (and pages) that aren't specifically about Dishonored, as they will without a doubt also be used for Dishonored 2 pages. Here's what I think should be done with the categories, in no particular order:
This category doesn't directly relate to Category:Dishonored, but I feel it should be brought up here anyways. It's currently pretty much unused, but I think it could serve to contain all categories meant for articles that are currently under Category:Browse, those being Category:Dishonored, Category:Dishonored 2, and Category:Lore.
This category …

First of all, here's my last reply: Honestly, it's just meant as a joke, but I get how it could be interpreted otherwise and discourage people from commenting, considering different senses of humor, culture and language differences, etc.
No necromancy unless it adds to a conversation has basically been the rule here, though. Actually, it looks like there's no mention of it in the rules of conduct, so I'll add it in. Personally, I would say that threads that haven't been replied to in a few months are "dead", but people are more likely to write comments that add to the conversation in more recent threads (ones from a few months ago) than older ones (from a year/years ago).
As for the template/picture, maybe it would be better to use it for pe…Read more >

Questioning the local village constable the Runners discover that the girls had been found drowned in local ponds with their necks nicked and scratched as if by a collar of thorns, also the girls died not long after they had brought a trinket made from whalebone from a 'gypsy woman'.
If they investigate the bodies they will find that a locket of hair had been taken from each of the girls,…

I'm writing this to use this blog to talk about some random stuff on Dishonored - instead of using Samuel's page for random discussion.
There's some stuff (both useless and interesting) I'd like to talk, such what we expect from Dishonored 2, what if Corvo was a "she", about Havelock's betrayal and what we think of him... just to explore deeper the game itself - I'm new in the Dishonored world, afterall.
Oh, if you want to suggest something else, you're welcome! ;DRead more >

So in chat today, some of us were discussing the idea of custom emoticons. We thought it'd be cool to add some Dishonored-themed ones to MediaWiki:Emoticons. So, what does everyone think of this suggestion, and what sort of emoticons would you like to see made? Providing an image of what you have in mind would be great, but I suppose they can be found later if needed! And obviously, admin opinions are needed on this as it requires one of the MediaWiki pages to be edited.
As far as implementing this goes, it seems to be fairly easy to do it. The direct url of the image has to be added, and underneath it, whatever text needs to be typed in chat to invoke the emoticon. For example, to create a bone charm emoticon you would add:* **(bonecharm)

A change has been suggested to the following pages: Dishonored, Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches, and Dishonored 2, and it has been put to a community vote. The proposed change would italicize the pages' titles located at the top of each article. A majority nay vote will keep the pages as they are, without italicized titles.
Please cast your vote by replying to the comment below. Voting will end in one week, on October 2, 2015.

Appearing out of nowhere like The Outsider, Arkane surprised the masses at E3 with the announcement of Dishonored 2 and Dishonored Definitive Edition.
With Dishonored Definitive Edition sneaking up from out of the shadows and releasing this month, we caught up with the game’s co-creative directors, Raf Colantonio and Harvey Smith, to hear what Xbox One and PlayStation 4 fans can expect.
What have you been enjoying about the new generation of consoles?
For us, it’s all about the games. People at Arkane often gather in the kitchen and play Bloodborne over lunch. Everyone agrees that Shadow of Mordor’s Nemesis System is really cool. And Alien: Isolation has some great moments. Plus that team obviously…

I didn't know how to post new forum pages (new pages are locked for editing somehow) so I'll make a blog post about it. I'd like to submit to the wiki two navigational templates (the tables at the end of pages) to make browsing through some pages of the wiki smoother. I believe that once we'll get to see more of Dishonored 2, we'll have even more pages to navigate through, hence those templates.
First is a media table to list all games, DLC, books, music, special editions and tie-ins (if there is to be more than the tarot deck). It's still an easy one to make, it's not like this franchise has a truck load of stuff the publishers thought of to improve its sales (unlike, say, Dead Space?). Give your best constructive criticism.Dishonored 2

It's happening. It's really happening.
Fans of Dishonored around the world tonight rejoiced as the sequel to their beloved game was announced by Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio of Arkane Studios at Bethesda's E3 2015 showcase. Featured in the new trailer was Emily Kaldwin, only a child in the first game, but now an adult with special powers granted to her by The Outsider. She and Corvo Attano will be playable characters in Dishonored 2, which will take place in Karnaca on the island of Serkonos. Each character will have their own unique set of powers, weapons, and gadgets.
Welp, I'm excited. Hopefully we'll receive more info sometime soon, but for now, I suppose we can just watch the trailer again.Read more >

It's been a while, but I started a new fic for Dishonored.
Once again, its an OC driven story that takes place in the capital of Dunwall.
Summary is as follows:
A decorated Naval Officer, a bookish scribe, an ostracized ex-Overseer, a street-wise Morlish girl, a brutal thug, a mysterious Tyvian sharpshooter, and a brilliant female doctor. They are the Undertakers, and they aid the desperate when others cannot. For their services they ask one simple thing in return: a single Favor.
Here's the link to the first chap if you're interested in it:
It is rated T for violence and slight adult situations.

Bet you thought you'd seen the last of Darkness of Tyvia, but it seems that whoever is making these is being pretty persistent.
As you all probably remember, rumors of Darkness of Tyvia showed up earlier this year. We were excited, but some of us were skeptical. Will we ever know the truth behind this mystery, or will it remain forever shrouded in rumors and supposed "leaks"?
Only time will tell...

NowGamer - Dishonored 2 Details Revealed By Insider
A number of details about Arkane Studio's in-development Dishonored 2 have been revealed to NowGamer by a source with knowledge regarding the game's development.
According to our source, Dishonored 2 is being developed at Arkane's Lyon studio, with Harvey Smith - co-creative director alongside Raphael Colontonio on the first Dishonored - heading the project.
Dishonored 2 could be set to star a new protagonist, with our source revealing that Arkane has had discussions about replacing Dishonored's main character, Corvo, with Emily Kaldwin.
Emily Kaldwin is a child in the first Dishonored, suggesting that Dishonored 2 will be set some time after the original.

As Gregory and Aliya crouched in the dark of the upper hall, they could hear the thing drawing close. It had followed them from the forest, through the garden, and into the house. A ragged panting foretold its passage as dead air was pushed through a throat eaten away with rot.
