Ashford is a member of the Rat Gang, introduced in the first issue of Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price.
The Peeress and the Price[]
Ashford should have been following the other members of the Rat Gang for their attack on the Dunwall Clocktower. He went instead drinking at a bar in the Distillery District, leaving his mask on a table for all to see. Because of this mistake, Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano are able to find him for interrogation. However, it ended up being a trap laid by Luella Price for the Empress and the Royal Protector.
