Arkane Studios is a video game developer based in Lyon, France and owned by ZeniMax Media . Arkane Studios was founded in 1999. Their first game, Arx Fatalis, was released 3 years later. Arkane Studios opened an office in Austin, Texas on July 2006. Another title, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic was released by Arkane in October 2006.
Arkane Studios developed Dishonored and its DLC, including Dunwall City Trials and The Knife of Dunwall' , the first of a two part series detailing the activities of the assassin Daud, parallel to Corvo Attano 's story during the main game content. A third and final DLC is planned called "The Brigmore Witches", which will conclude the events of Daud 's storyline. No details are known about this DLC.
Arkane was named "Studio of the Year" by Ben of TheGamerDrive. He pointed out that their first major solo effort, Dishonored, was nominated for Game of the Year. [1]
